Heather caught this great picture when he was climbing down. It's just the right height for him.

And I couldn't resist sneaking in after he fell asleep to get a picture of his first night in his new bed. Yes, this is taken with a flash. We don't make him sleep with a light on.
He did pretty well. He cried a couple times, once for a tissue (he has a runny nose), and the other time Heather said he was standing in the middle of the room crying. We think maybe he was just a little thrown off by the new setup. Other than that, he slept remarkably well and didn't seem to get out of bed to play or anything. This morning he was even waiting for me to come get him, sitting in the corner of the bed like he did in his crib.

Go Harvey! Now on to potty training! Maybe he can give Noah tips when we see you guys next week. FYI: to those of you who thought Noah and I weren't going to MI, well, we are. I like that bed, was it part of his crib or a seperate thing altogether?

Before Macie was born, we had Addie sleeping in her toddler bed for naps and she really looked forward to it, but she was scared to sleep there at night. Then Macie was born and we were less consistent. Now she dreads her toddler bed altogether. We just got rid of her pacifier two weeks ago (she was only using it to sleep anyway) and that has been relatively painless. My next goal is to move her up to the bed. Hopefully it will be smooth sailing. She absolutely does NOT want to use a potty, so I'm holding off on that for a while.
It's all about doing things when kids are ready to do them. I learned that the hard way a few times.
We're glads you still get to come, Kari. Can't wait to see you.
