Memorial Day 2012

Sorry for three posts in a row from us, but these are all important things, I think.  Anyway, I had a regular baby dr. appointment today and was confirmed something I suspected all along-this baby is going to be big.  I am measuring an entire week ahead of my due date-they are not, however changing my due date because we know for certain it is correct.  Anyway, this being the case I am making an executive decision and having the baby at 39 weeks.  After talking with Dad about when he could make it out for the baby blessing we discovered that Memorial Day weekend (1 week after the baby will be born) is the only time we can do it.  I am posting this here because I want to invite all who feel inclined to join us.
I understand this is not for another 5 1/2 months or so, but I wanted to put it out there early to get you all thinking.  Another thing to consider is that you might want to stay in a hotel if you come unless you want to sleep on my dining room or living room floor or sleep in a tent in my back yard-we only have two bedrooms and moving Noah and Lucy into our room with the baby really isn't an option.  Anyway, think about it if you like, we would obviously enjoy everybody's company if you can make it, and let me know if you want/can come.  Have a great New Year!

Christmas

I missed reading the request, my bad, so here's a little of what our Christmas looked like.  We were invited to a get together last minute on Christmas Eve so we didn't get to do the puppet show-I was a little bummed...next year.

We are thinking about Owen Henry...Henry was Dad's Grandpa Hutchinson's middle name.  I thought it was a boy, we are stoked and Noah is super excited about having a brother.

Christmas Eve @ the Hairs

Christmas Eve began with Addie having a fever and coughing. Jason went out and picked up some medicine for her early that morning. He said while reading the labels on the boxes, a friendly guy next to him said, "By the time you're done reading all those labels, you'll be a doctor!" *smile* He thought that was pretty funny.

That evening we picked up Jason's dad, Tom, from the airport. He joined us for the annual puppet show. Here they are for the curtain call-
We don't have an advent calendar, so this year we counted down to Christmas with 24 Christmas books, mostly borrowed from the library, wrapped under the tree. The kids have loved picking a new one each night to read. Tom was here to read the kids their last Christmas bedtime story-

I thought our house looked so pretty and cozy, all ready for Christmas morning-

And the day finished up with Jason and Tom putting together Santa's big surprise this year- A TRAMPOLINE! We borrowed a flood light to help with the set-up, and an ornery neighbor yelled out to them, "Turn out the light!" We did, but we finished first. Ha! And, I know most of you don't do Santa, and I haven't really been a believer, but when Addie saw her trampoline with the big red bow on it this morning and was in awe of Santa's magic, it made me happy that we are doing Santa. It's fun.

A Christmas Request

PJs!

Thanks to Hillary for giving us these wonderful PJs. Addie loves them, and Macie hates them. I love having them wear them together, but it is a chore to get Macie to wear them. But, for the most part, she can be convinced to do anything that Addie is doing. The web "wings" crack me up! Oh, and Carson is wearing PJs that Jason wore as a baby. They say "Football Tough Team" on them, and are so old and funny. Yay for PJs!

I'm sorry that I missed the real day. I kept thinking all day yesterday that it was Dec. 12th. I hope you had a wonderful day.

a wee change in plans

So last week a meeting was called for the students going to York.  Eric was nervous, thought there was a problem...well he was right.  They told us that York could accommodate 8 students...7 people matched there.  At this meeting they were told that, sorry, York was wrong, they can really only accommodate 5 so two people are going to need to go to another site in PA that they just barely opened up in Lancaster.  They asked everyone to consider it, talk to their families and if they wanted to volunteer that would be great.  We discussed it and decided that we actually like Lancaster better than York.  The area is cheaper to live in and the hospital has a residency that Eric had actually already looked into.  Tonight they had a meeting for those that were interested...four people showed up.  So a lottery was held and Eric's number was picked!  YAY! So instead of moving to York we will be moving to Lancaster...actually we are looking into a city that is just north of Lancaster called Lititz.  Anyway, thought you would want to know.  We are really excited and actually feel more comfortable with moving there than we did moving to York...must have been meant to be.
