Tom and Ethel's

Thought everyone might want to see the house we are looking at. Follow this link to see the pictures.
It needs a lot of TLC but we should be able to get it at a reasonable price. Hopefully when we move we'll be able to make a tidy profit to put towards a longer-term house. We've named most of the houses we were interested in. This one we named Tom and Ethel's because it looks like a widower has lived there alone for the past twenty years. Ethel made some top of the line design decisions back in 1950 but they are a little out of date now. We're waiting to get some market information from the realtor before we put an offer in. We'll keep you updated on the progress.

Thanks for the update. That's a big house for the two of you, it would be a great starter home. Keep us posted!

Have you ever seen the show on TLC called "Flip That House"? Well, that's what we were thinking when we saw the pictures. We really liked the panelling and the cabinets in the kitchen. And wasn't it soo nice of them to leave you dishes and statues to use-just in case you didn't have your own. But, really, we think it would be a great investment and that the land would be nice to have. And if you want to flip it, we watch that show pretty regularily and could give you a few pointers. Good luck and we can't wait to see you in a couple of months. :)

We've seen the show a couple of times. We have the advantage of having several years to make the investments but I think the general principles will still apply. They did clear out some of the junk after those pictures were taken, however every closet holds its own special treasures. We're setting up the offer tomorrow. It's starting to get very exciting
