Ward Family Movie Night

Last weekend, our ward had a family movie night. We asked the kids to bring boxes decorated like cars so they could watch the movie like they were at a drive-in. Then half way through the movie there was a car parade so the kids could show off their cars. Here are what our kids (and Charlie) came up with:

Cute! What a great idea. Looks like your kids had fun. Our ward has been so lame out here with ward activities. Since they've disbanded the Activities Committee this ward hasn't really had any. So sad, I wish they'd bring it back...

Our ward really struggled last year to put together ward activities because the activities committee had been discontinued. This year a group of ward members got together, planned what activities we wanted and then we took that back to the ward council. The bishop approved them and they have now been assigned to the different priesthood quorums and auxiliaries to head up. Relief society was in charge of the ward movie night and the next activity is a ward pot luck for the Blue and Gold Banquet. Primary is in charge of that one. So far it seems to be working out pretty well. Time will tell though. We'll see how well the other presidencies step up. I think ward activities are pretty important though and really need an emphasis.
